UK-based Blends Flavours & Colours announced its intention to invest to improve its canning capacity to meet the needs and prosperity of the business by reducing the use of plastic packaging to zero.
According to factory manager Andrew Richardson, he explained that in 2020, the company invested in a canning line that handled up to 2,500 cans per hour, but within three months, the company was unable to meet the high demand leading the company to install a new canning line with a capacity of 20,000 cans per hour.
With this project, it is ready to produce approximately 140 million cans per year, which also allows the company to offer more diverse can size options. Previously, it could offer slim 250ml and sleek 330ml cans; now it offers 150ml-500ml cans.
