Baltika will invest 1.4 billion rubles (approximately $17 million) in the expansion of its plant in Samara, according to The Canmaker.
Baltika, formerly owned by the Danish group Carlsberg, was acquired in December 2024 by VG Invest, a company led by senior executives of the Russian brewery itself. This acquisition occurred after the Russian government’s intervention in 2023, which placed Baltika under temporary state control due to Carlsberg’s exit from the Russian market.
The expansion at the Samara plant is part of a broader strategy by Baltika to increase its production capacity. In May 2025, the company reported a 20% increase in its production during 2024, indicating that it was operating at full capacity and required additional facilities to maintain its growth trajectory.
