Ball Paraguay consolidates its position as the best plant in South America

Ball Paraguay is positioned as the best plant in South America. The Ball Paraguay unit won first place in the company’s internal “Dream Team” championship, winning in the two possible categories: Best Can Factory and Best Aluminum Cap Factory. After analyzing the 13 units located in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay, the Paraguayan unit stood out above the rest.

Every year, Ball Corporation organizes a regional competition in which the plant that stands out for its high level of commitment to the four basic principles on which the company’s philosophy and strategy are based is awarded.

Specifically, sustainability and the environment are concepts related to the way in which natural resources are responsibly managed, from raw materials to waste, including water and energy.

Workplace safety is also a priority to ensure the health of both employees and customers. This includes compliance with standards to prevent and reduce any risk, as well as maintaining a high level of integrity for all.

Customer focus is related to product quality, in compliance with customer requirements.  Another key is to achieve excellent performance in the operation is the objective of this unit. This is achieved through compliance with established plans to achieve efficiency and effect.

With this recognition, the Paraguay plant consolidates its position as the best plant in the region, a little more than two years after starting operations in our country. Anderson Stefano and Erika Baldini, both vice presidents of the BPSA (Bureau of the Professional Staff Association), traveled to Paraguay together with regional directors Sandro Leite and Marco Cardoso. This was in order to announce and celebrate an important distinction for this unit, which had achieved great success in the evaluated indicators.
