The company Aptar is finally determined to offer a new production site in France, specifically in Oyonnax, which will be operational as early as the second quarter of 2023. The investment will reach 42 million euros.

With this new infrastructure, which will act as a center of excellence, the company intends to unify all its centers in the locality, with the aim of improving its services to its customers. This could reduce energy use by 45% and reduce emissions by 58% compared to those made in 2018, due to the fact that travel between centers would be cut.

“Consolidating our five current centers into one is an ambitious and strategic project, aimed at improving and adapting the processes we carry out in Oyonnax,” explained Xavier Susterac, president EMEA for Aptar Beauty&Home, who believes that “it will boost our technological, logistical and decoration potential, which are particularly valuable, and provide our customers with customized solutions, covering their needs in a fast-growing sector such as beauty.”

Currently, the multinational Aptar has manufacturing centers in France and 22 worldwide, including the one operating in Torelló (Barcelona). This center, which manufactures and markets caps and dispensers for viscous products, beverages, food, perfumery and personal care, reported an 8% increase in revenues.

Of the 10 million euros generated by this sector, 64% came from abroad, mainly through the European Union. Until 2020, it was associated with another center located in Madrid. A recently acquired by French corporations involved the transfer of part of its assets (mechanical mills) from Barcelona to Oyonnax.
