Argentine industry once again reflected a trend of deceleration: production of crude steel fell 3.7% compared to August and 3.8% in year-on-year comparison, according to data from the sector’s chamber. The Government hopes that the situation may improve from November, after the election results, although no signs of recovery were recorded until October. The mass consumer sectors, such as white goods and metal packaging, continue to be affected by the fall in purchasing power and the entry of imported products.
