Nestlé has immediately dismissed Laurent Freixe as CEO after discovering an undisclosed romantic relationship with a subordinate, which violated the company’s code of conduct. Philipp Navratil, CEO of Nespresso, has been named his interim successor.

Freixe had led Nestlé since September 2024, after directing the European and Latin American divisions. His departure adds to recent changes in the company’s management, which also faces challenges such as rising raw material costs and a drop in consumer spending, especially in China.

Navratil, with extensive experience at Nestlé and head of Nespresso, assured that he will continue with the company’s strategy and strengthen efficiency and growth.
