LNER has announced that first-class passengers on its trains between London and Edinburgh or Glasgow will be able to enjoy a selection of alcoholic beverages served in sustainable packaging.
This initiative is part of their commitment to sustainability and reducing the use of plastics. The company has implemented measures such as reducing the use of single-use plastics in its onboard services and collaborating with suppliers who use recycled materials in their packaging. In addition, LNER has reduced its carbon emissions by 47% since the introduction of its Azuma train fleet in 2019. The company continues to work towards becoming a net-zero carbon emissions company by 2045.
