Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) claims that it has managed to reduce the aluminum used in its canned beverages by 57.4%. The corporation explained that its aluminum cans are 60% lighter than 30 years ago, so “the impact on raw material consumption, energy and GHG emissions is reduced every year”.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners reduced its net emissions by 25.7% in the last five years.

This reduction, as detailed by the company, “accelerates the pace” to reach its 2030 target of cutting them by 30%. Precisely, those that have been reduced the most, as he specified, have been those of scope 3 which, although they represent 90% of its carbon footprint, are those that come from its suppliers and do not depend directly on CCEP.
