The can manufacturing company, Moravia Cans, has recently joined the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MPMA) as an associate member, thus completing the list of manufacturers that are part of this association.
Moravia Cans, a popular company based in the Czech Republic that produces aluminum aerosol containers, will continue to support its customers’ businesses throughout Europe.
In this regard, Berry van Soest, sales director of Moravia Cans indicated that “We were particularly interested in the MPMA’s vision and involvement in developments across the UK and the European packaging regulatory landscape post Brexit and with new legislation to come. It is reassuring to be part of an Association that looks after the interests of our industry in this regard.”
Robert Fell, director of MPMA, expressed his satisfaction after Moravia Cans joined the association. “We are delighted to welcome Moravia Cans into the MPMA fold. The metal packaging industry benefits from having a collective voice, and the broader the Association’s membership, the more influence it will have in shaping the legislation that affects our industry,” he reiterated.
The Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association is the trade association and leading voice of the UK metal packaging industry, working with its members to influence and shape the key issues affecting our sector and its businesses. The association supports and represents members’ interests in industry matters related to operational, regulatory and environmental issues. In addition, it promotes the benefits of metal packaging and the sustainable attributes of steel and aluminum through educational programs, industry awards and relevant communication channels. The MPMA is led by a small management team that operates through committees and working groups made up of representatives of member companies, and reports to a Council of members.
