To clean a coater after applying a white enamel, follow these steps in detail:

  1. Turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power source to ensure safety during the cleaning process.
  2. Remove any excess varnish or glaze still on the machine using a scraper or plastic spatula. Be careful not to damage the surfaces of the machine.
  3. Use a solvent suitable for the type of varnish or enamel you have used. For example, if you have used a water-based varnish, you can use water and a little mild detergent. If you have used a solvent-based varnish, you will need a specific solvent.
  4. Apply the solvent to a clean, soft cloth and gently wipe the surfaces of the machine to remove any remaining varnish. Pay special attention to areas where varnish is applied, such as the varnish rollers, and areas where varnish can accumulate, such as the collecting trays.
  5. If necessary, disassemble the parts of the machine that require more thorough cleaning and soak them in the solvent for an appropriate time (e.g. 24 hours) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Clean the parts immersed in the solvent with a soft brush to remove varnish residues and rinse them with clean water.
  7. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling the machine.
  8. Once the machine is completely dry and clean, reassemble it and reconnect it to the power source.
  9. Perform a test run to make sure that the machine is working properly and that there are no varnish residues on the surfaces.

Remember to keep the work area tidy and free of chemicals on the floor or on the tables. Use approved containers labeled according to the safety data sheet to store chemicals.
