It is one of the most important awards in Brazil. This 2021 more than three thousand people participated in the popular vote to choose the most beautiful beer can labels in Brazil. The Brazil’s Most Beautiful Can Award is promoted by Abralatas with the support of the Brazilian Beer Industry Association (CervBrasil), the Brazilian Federation of Craft Breweries (Febracerva) and the National Union of the Beer Industry (Sindcerv). The objective is to recognize the best work in the creation of label designs for beer cans, according to criteria of creativity, aesthetic beauty, suitability to the product and clarity in communication.

Specifically, 26 contestants qualified for the final of the Brazil’s Most Beautiful Can Award, which were evaluated by a popular and technical jury, and the winners were announced on the channels of the Brazilian Association of Aluminum Can Manufacturers (Abralatas).

In the category of Micro and Small Breweries, the first place went to APA PQP, from the gypsy microbrewery Aqueles Caras. Second place went to La Crème, from the Rambeer craft brewery, and third place to Newbie, from Prussia Bier, from Minas Gerais. Among the medium-sized breweries, the Gaucho Salva Craft Bier took all the awards. In first place was the Russian Imperial Stout label, followed by Dragon Sour and Hop Lager Quinquennium, in second and third place, respectively. Among the big boys, a Colorado took the top two spots. Appia came in first place and Ribeirão Larger in second. Third place went to the Cacildis label, produced since 2017 by the Petrópolis Group.

For the president of Abralatas, Cátilo Cândido, the first edition of the award was a success. “There were 156 registered brands, 26 finalists, six technical juries and more than 3,500 popular votes counted, which shows a dimension of the Most Beautiful Can in Brazil. Our goal was to recognize the work of creating beer can label designs, as the can is the preferred packaging in the beer sector and is growing year after year,” he adds.

Another added benefit is that the winners will be able to apply an exclusive seal of the Award on their beer labels, in addition to having a guaranteed space in Abralatas publications and events throughout 2022.
