U.S.-based Wild Goose Filling, which manufactures canning and bottling systems for beverage companies around the world, has introduced its new line of canning machines called “Spirit”. These systems are designed specifically for distilleries and allow them to package a variety of carbonated and non-carbonated alcoholic beverages, ready to be consumed by customers.

In its new line of equipment, Wild Goose offers two automated systems for distilleries: the Gosling Spirit and the Evolution Series Spirit. These machines are specially designed to efficiently can 100 ml single-serve formats and aluminum cans in different sizes. According to Wild Goose Filling, these new options will allow craft distilleries to take advantage of new opportunities in the marketplace.

“We’ve seen a lot of parallels between craft distilleries and craft breweries.” said Dan Welch, general manager of Wild Goose Filling. “Wild Goose pioneered craft beer canning, selling our first systems to brewers in 2011. Now, with the availability of smaller can sizes suitable for spirits, similar demand is emerging in the craft distilling space. Although canned cocktails and spirits are on the periphery of mainstream sales at the moment, this is an increasingly viable format for the future.”

The Wild Goose Gosling Spirit system offers a simple and economical way to package small batches in 100 ml cans. With a maximum speed of 14 cans per minute, this system is easy to operate and maintain. In addition, its unique design with a black exterior and smoked protection makes it stand out from the rest.

Wild Goose’s new Evolution Series Spirit machine is based on its most popular Evolution Series line, which is already used by more than 1,400 breweries and craft beverage producers around the world. This new Spirit system provides the ability to upgrade on the same platform and can accommodate different types and sizes of cans, including smaller steel cans and a variety of traditional aluminum cans. It is designed for distilleries and high volume production sites, as well as any other environment where flexibility and speed in can packaging is required.

According to Welch’s statements, distilleries are implementing a new sales format in which they offer a portion in cans. This option is convenient because cans are easy to transport and can be infinitely recycled, making it a more sustainable alternative to plastic or glass. In addition, the use of this type of environmentally friendly packaging and appropriate sizes gives craft distilleries the opportunity to stand out and expand their range of products available for sale.

In addition to its innovative spirit systems, Wild Goose also provides the equipment needed for bottling at the distillery as a complete package including SS Brewtech tanks and labelers from Pack Leader USA. All spare parts for the Evolution Series and Gosling Spirit systems can be found on the Flock Shop website, Wild Goose’s e-commerce platform.
