Beverage brand VOLNAA plans to launch drinking water packaged in aluminium cans, which will make it easier to drink water safely. The company aims to tackle the threat of plastic pollution by making its cans, which are 100% recyclable with a revolution in the closure system.
Kartik Rajput and Kushagra Sharma co-founded VOLNAA in 2020 to offer natural mineral water with a pH level of 7.9 from the Himalayas. “The idea of creating Volnaa was not an easy one for us, but we wanted to contribute to saving the Earth from plastic pollution and increasing global warming. By reshaping packaged water from bottled water to canned water, we have introduced a new market in India and are the first plastic-free company with our 100% recyclable cans and new resealable lid technology.” Kartik Rajput, co-founder of VOLNAA.
Kushagra Sharma, Co-Founder and Director, VOLNAA, said, “The word “Volnaa” translates to waves and as a wave is created by the sea above the rest of the surface, we have taken the same emotion forward and have created this company whose aim is to make our planet plastic free. We adhere to the emotion and are equally at the service of the consumers by providing Natural Mineral Water. Volnaa adheres to the policy of offering the best quality at reasonable prices in the service of nature and consumers’ pockets”.
Some of the reasons why the bottled and packaged water business has witnessed remarkable growth in India are the growing health concerns and lack of availability of potable water in India.
