The company Estrella Galicia has launched an original advertising campaign by covering the 33-metre Alvedro tower with a tarpaulin and the 1906 can, the Galician brand’s most iconic can.
Estrella Galicia’s daring advertising campaigns are well known. Once again they have outdone themselves. Being present in all advertising media, directly or indirectly, is one of the secrets of its commercial success.
Their latest idea has been to create the world’s largest can with a huge billboard and they have placed it very visible, the control tower of Peinador airport in Vigo. The campaign has had a great success and repercussion, also in social networks. There are many comments about it, like the one of this twitterer who confesses to be “the best thing that has happened to me in months”.
A daring campaign that has not been easy to carry out given its scope. This large concrete pole of circular shape and 33 meters high, which has been almost completely covered with a canvas that identically captures the design of the 1906 cans. One of the most iconic beers of the company Hijos de Rivera S.A . which was created to commemorate the year of its foundation. It has also attracted attention for the original circular shape of its column on which the office structure from which the air traffic is managed is supported.
In 2015 the company ran an equally surprising campaign. An expert brewer led a beer tasting with the passengers on their way to Berlin, where they tasted the premium beers Estrella Galicia Especial and 1906 Reserva Especial. It was the first time a brewery had done such an activity on the air. Now they’ve done it again.
Hijos de Rivera is a century-old family company dedicated to the production and marketing of beverages that applies its long brewing tradition. In 2018, Estrella Galicia surpassed 300 million litres of beer.
