Victoria, Australia’s leading food and beverage producer, with a sector valued at $45 billion and employing more than 76,000 people, is also one of the state’s most energy-intensive.
The Government of Victoria has now announced a $10 million investment in grants aimed at modernizing the food and beverage processing and manufacturing sector. This funding is part of the third round of the Energy Innovation Fund and is intended to support the transition from gas-powered equipment and machinery to efficient electrical alternatives.
Each company will be able to access grants of up to $2 million to facilitate this change, as well as incentivize the adoption of innovative technologies that meet the needs of the sector.
