In the coming years, one of the many challenges facing the cosmetics, perfumery and personal care sectors will be to offer sustainable packaging options without sacrificing the highest quality image and luxury end product.

Aware of this market demand, the packaging supplier Vetroplas offers to the cosmetics, perfumery and personal care sectors its aluminium bottles with a new fully integrated in-line screen printing technology.

This new technology has been introduced by Vetroplas’ Spanish manufacturing partner, Envases, who have spent the last few months installing and commissioning the latest decorating machinery which will considerably improve the wide range already on offer. Among its novelties, it can also incorporate the use of haptic inks capable of providing tactile effects, with parts of a design ‘raised’ on the flat surface of the bottle.

Managing Director Simon Dix, highlights that “the Vetroplas /Envases partnership now offers the world’s first integrated hybrid offset and screen printing technology for aluminium monobloc bottles, making the eco-appeal of infinitely recyclable aluminium bottles compatible with a truly premium product”.

According to Vetroplas, this new process can be used in conjunction with existing offset printing. Online hot stamping is said to further enhance the possibilities for artwork, including the opportunity to offer foils in a range of colours as well as more conventional silver and gold.
