Vermouth and Cider Aperitif, the new Suntory proposal for La Casera
Due to the trend of consuming beverages with lower alcohol content, Suntory Beverage & Food Spain included two new alternatives in its La Casera line: Vermouth Aperitif and Cider Aperitif. This is in addition to the already popular products such as La Casera Tinto de Verano and La Casera Distinto.
La Casera has recently launched two beers with lower alcohol content in Spain. This clear bet pursues the satisfaction of users who are currently turning to other more innovative options, due to what a study conducted by GFK revealed, which is that 26% of consumers are not happy with the most widespread beverages and 31% are looking for alternatives.
SBFS, part of Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, is betting on low alcohol content by investing in the development of products in this category. They are allocating a budget of more than 7 million euros.
Antonio Garrido, SBFS marketing manager, explained that the new La Casera soft drinks are the right choice for all those who want to enjoy drinks with low alcohol content. “This proposal comes to consolidate our range in low alcohol content, while maintaining the DNA and mixing experience of Gaseosa La Casera,” he added.
La Casera has developed a new launch led by the innovation center located in Tordera, which has been working on it since early 2021. To achieve this, more than 1,000 interviews were conducted to gather feedback and suggestions from consumers, customers and the market. The R&D center located in Tordera was opened 50 years ago, and during this time such well-known products as Schweppes, Trina, La Casera or Orangina have been launched on the market.
The company has just entered the market with a new proposal aimed at satisfying the demand for daytime consumption, while taking advantage of the related increase in low alcohol products.
In recent times, more and more operators have been advocating the canned format for presenting their low-proof soft drinks in an attempt to favor on-the-go consumption and new consumption moments.
