It is necessary to rethink the unbridled consumption that threatens our planet. Precisely, the multinational Ball Corporation, as a world leader in sustainable aluminum packaging has announced that it will donate 0.79 euro cents for each can purchased at the VADELATA store to the Route Brasil Institute. This organization seeks engagement pathways for solutions to reduce the impact of litter on communities, beaches and oceans in Brazil and the rest of the world.
Already in 2020 this campaign was a success and this year repeats edition. In this way, Ball once again calls for a more supportive consumption in order to preserve our environment.
Thaís Moraes, Communications Director of Ball South America points out that “Ball has sustainable actions and policies throughout the year, and we have the aluminum can, the most sustainable packaging in the beverage chain, as our main product. With this, we decided to position ourselves in this era of consumption by bringing a reflection on the impact of our choices on the environment and doing our part in favor of creating awareness and preserving our resources”.
The last year has also meant precariousness for many Brazilians, as well as a lack of basic sanitation in the country’s communities and suburbs. Over the next seven months, Route Brasil will once again carry out the ‘100 Waste’ campaign. The project involving 11 social organizations in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Pernambuco, Bahia and Santa Catarina will have two deliveries of food packages and hygiene items, to the population along with a brochure with guidelines on packaging, as well as the correct deposit of garbage.
