UTC Overseas has decided to open an office in Gdańsk with the aim of offering specialized logistics and engineering services to the ever-growing project and industrial manufacturing sectors in Poland. The region is currently in full swing with projects and the arrival of UTC’s professional team will allow us to provide a strategic service to serve this market.

On the other hand, UTC has formed a group of professionals who previously worked with an internationally recognized company in the field of heavy haulage equipment and transportation, with the objective of improving the company’s specialized transportation skills. This team will bring their vast engineering knowledge and experience to the benefit of UTC’s global offices.

Jakub Walasek, an expert in the management of land, inland waterway and maritime transportation projects, has been appointed as director of the newly opened office in Poland. With extensive experience in the field, he holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. His track record includes successfully negotiating contracts, developing and executing strategic plans and building highly efficient teams, according to Mirko Knezevic, director of operations for Europe and Asia at UTC.

According to Istvan Csepan, regional general manager of power generation for EMEA, the new office in Gdańsk will be run by an expert team composed of civil and mechanical engineers who have been collaborating for a long time.

“UTC’s strategic move to open an office in Poland is a significant step toward expanding our presence in the industrial projects sector encompassing renewable energy initiatives. Poland is also an important transit point for countries in the Central European region.”said Marco Poisler, UTC’s director of energy and capital projects operations.

“This group will bring much sought-after and important engineering and transportation skills to add to UTC’s scope of services. Their knowledge of the logistics market and industry contacts will benefit UTC, and we will be well positioned to capitalize on the growing potential in Poland and neighboring Central European and Baltic countries. This is important as some of our key customers are expanding their presence in the region, establishing production and supply facilities.”concluded Csepan.
