In its 2021 Sustainability Report, United States Steel Corporation published that it continues to expand its resources and investments in sustainable and advanced steel technologies, enhancing the company’s competitive advantages.

The project progressed as it sought to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2030, a 16% reduction over the last four years. In 2022, it was recognized by Ethisphere as one of the most ethical companies in the world, especially for its consumers. In addition, it recycled 73% more steel scrap than in 2020.

For the third consecutive year, it obtained a perfect score in the Human Rights Campaign Index. “Sustainability is embedded in our corporate strategy and affects every part of our organization, from operations to the environment.
