Trivium Packaging has received an A- rating from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), a non-profit organization considered the gold standard for environmental reporting. In just its second year of operation, Trivium achieved an A- rating in 2020 and 2021 for its implementation of best practices in two categories: climate change and water security.

“It is extremely gratifying to receive independent praise for our sustainability performance, particularly in the most challenging times of the past year,” says Trivium’s Vice President of Sustainability Jenny Wassenaar, adding that “corporate transparency is crucial in our fight against climate change and I am very proud of the contribution Trivium has made over the past two years, and look forward to what we will achieve in the future”.

Michael Mapes, CEO of Trivium, adds that “we are delighted with the achievement of an A- rating for the second year in a row, which confirms our consistent performance and leadership in sustainability practices within the industry. We know this is just the beginning and we will continue to strive for an even greater achievement in reducing our carbon footprint in the years to come.

CDP measures the performance of companies against a set of sustainability criteria. It focuses on helping businesses promote urgent action to build a truly sustainable economy.
