Trivium Argentina will be the first to use post-consumer recycled aluminum in the Americas

Trivium Packaging, a global leader in sustainable metal packaging, has recently announced a recycling initiative in Argentina in partnership with urban recycling organization Creando Conciencia to significantly increase the collection and reuse of aluminum aerosol cans.

In this way, Trivium Argentina will become the first to use post-consumer recycled aluminum in Latin America.

Creando Conciencia collects aerosol cans and processes them with motors supplied by Trivium, which simultaneously press and compress the packages.

Using this process, compact aerosol cans can be melted to produce aluminium ingots. “We are pleased with our partnership with Creando Conciencia in Argentina, which collects and recycles aluminum aerosol cans from consumers’ homes and processes them for inclusion in the production of new aluminum packaging. In this way, we are actively contributing to a circular economy.
