In this regard, Kazuhito Nakano, chief sustainability officer of Toyo Ink SC Holdings confirms that “Toyo Ink Group’s sustainability vision sets out an ambitious vision to bring our total global carbon footprint to net zero by 2050,” adding that “while we have been steadily reducing CO2 emissions at our production bases since 2010, the renewed vision is critical to delivering on our commitment to developing low-carbon products.”

The TSV2050/2030 vision consists of two components: TSV2050, which sets specific objectives that the Group aims to achieve by 2050, and TSV2030, which defines intermediate objectives to be realized by 2030. Specifically, CO2 emissions will be reduced by 35% in Japan by 2030 and 35% in other countries compared to the FY2030 BAU level*.
