Toyo Ink SC Holdings Co., Ltd. (parent company based in Japan) and its subsidiary Toyo Ink (Thailand) Co., Ltd. signed an agreement on March 10 by which they fully acquired Thai Eurocoat Ltd. The company, located in Samut Sakhon province, is a leader in outer coatings for unprinted cans consumed in the Thai listed food market.

Upon completion of the share transaction, Thai Eurocoat will retain its name and will operate as a subordinate division of Toyo Ink Thailand, the headquartered organization, based in Bangkok. This acquisition will expand Toyo Ink Group’s regional business to become the primary supplier of metallic coatings within the ASEAN market.

“We are pleased to welcome Thai Eurocoat to the Toyo Ink Group family.”
said Jun Mikoshiba, president of Toyo Ink Thailand. “The Group has been operating in Thailand since 1971 and began local production of can coatings in 1988 with the establishment of Toyo Ink Thailand. Over the years, we have expanded our business by leveraging our ability to develop advanced resins, primarily for can coatings that require high functionality. Thai Eurocoat is expected to complement these operations and expand our business throughout the ASEAN region.”

“Thai Eurocoat has a solid reputation among its customers for its customization and product marketing expertise based on a strong customer-centric approach to product development. By combining our strengths, we aim to further strengthen our ability to solve customer problems with innovative metal packaging solutions that our customers will continue to rely on.”
concluded the executive.
