THYSSENKRUPP RASSELSTEIN LAUNCHES DIGITAL TINPLATE TRAINING ‘TINPLATE ACADEMY’.

Thyssenkrupp Rasselstein has just launched a new training initiative. It now offers its customers Tinplate Academy, a range of digital training courses. The comprehensive tinplate academy offering is now available for download on the Packaging Steel App.

Thus, thanks to the Tinplate Academy, Germany’s only tinplate manufacturer offers its customers a wide range of digital training courses. The offering is complemented by virtual plant and line tours while learning content includes deep dives into the tinplate product and its potential applications, the topic of sustainability of steel for packaging and a variety of other content from the world of tinplate.

“The COVID pandemic has made direct contact with our local customers difficult. Our goal remains the same: we strive to provide the best possible advice. In addition to the proven on-site training courses, we now also offer our customers a digital training offer” points out Heiner Schäfgen, who conducts the training courses with his Technical Customer Service team.

Since 2017, the Packaging Steel app has provided users with an overview of all packaging steel grades available from thyssenkrupp Rasselstein and their respective specifications. The app also focuses on current news and innovations from the world’s largest steel packaging production site. The update is available as version 6.0 in the app stores for iOS and Android. The application is free and available in English and German.
