The classic blue tin Nivea cream, launched in 1911, remains a staple in many households due to its hydration, price, and versatility. Recently, Profeco (Mexico’s Federal Consumer Protection Agency) evaluated several body creams, including this one, analyzing aspects such as moisturization, pH, stability, content, and potential irritant effects.

The result was positive: the classic Nivea exceeded standards, with moderate hydration (6% in 2 hours and 7.3% in 4), slightly acidic pH ideal for normal to dry skin, good resistance to extreme temperatures, truthful labeling, and no risk of irritation.

Beyond its body use, it is also utilized as a lip balm, mask, makeup primer, or cream for very dry areas, such as elbows and heels.
