The flavor of Michoacán reaches every corner of the world, thanks to the initiative of Félix Ayala, who more than 54 years ago, decided to create one of the most important canned food canning companies.

The United States, Spain or Dubai savor the jalapeño peppers of this self-made man who started out as a humble street sweeper. In Mexico City he noticed that merchants were throwing away food that was not in bad condition, although it might have looked worse. He began to rescue these foods and sell them. With a good eye he chose the best chiles and tomatoes, which were and are the basis of his cans. Chiles are a staple food in the country, so he decided he would start with this food. He saved to rent and then buy an establishment where he founded his company.

In 1970, the history of Productos Alimenticios La Morena formally began, named after the faith Felix Ayala professed to the Virgin of Guadalupe. With 100 workers, on October 27, the entrepreneur’s dream began. The company has gone through difficult times, but continues to bring the flavor of Mexico to the world.
