Every January 19, Ball Corporation makes a call to reflect on the choice of its packaging and its positive impact on the environment, as it is 100% infinitely recyclable.

In honor of World Beverage Can Day, Ball Corporation, recognized worldwide and in South America for its production of aluminum beverage cans, highlights the practical, safety and sustainability advantages offered by these containers. The great advantage that stands out is that aluminum cans are completely recyclable and can be recycled infinitely.

The aluminum can entered the world of beverages in 1959 with the Coors brewery in the United States and has since transformed the industry thanks to its ease of manufacture, efficient transportation and its ability to be recycled and reused. Ball Corporation, present in Chile for almost eight years, has managed to position itself as the only manufacturer of canned beverages in the country, witnessing the significant growth of this container.
According to consumers, the main advantages of choosing canned beverages are their practicality, rapid cooling capacity and the size suitable for individual consumption. In addition, it ensures that the beverage stays colder for longer compared to other containers. The portability and convenience of the can allows consumers to enjoy their favorite beverages in all their activities without limitations.

Gabriel Tribucio, who currently holds the position of sales director of Ball Corporation in Chile, highlighted the importance of innovation in the beverage sector. He recognizes that it is crucial for companies to keep abreast of technological advances and Ball has always been a leader in this regard, offering solutions that were previously unthinkable for its customers and consumers.

Today, aluminum cans are not only used to store soft drinks and beer, but have also spread to other industries due to the numerous advantages offered by this format. Moreover, these industries are in tune with current consumer trends.
Ball Corporation has a wide range of products to meet the needs of its customers. Among them is its digital printing technology, which is already available in Chile and allows photographic quality of up to 650 DPI, with a wide variety of colors and the advantage of being able to produce smaller batches. This technology is one of the newest in the field and offers great versatility when printing labels on cans.

In addition to being completely recyclable, the aluminum can recycling process helps to reduce the consumption of resources such as water, gas and electricity, which makes it an environmentally friendly option. This process uses only 5% of the energy required to produce new aluminum, resulting in a 95% reduction in pollutant gas emissions compared to the original production of the material.

Although the recycling rate in Chile reaches 33%, much lower than the global average of 70%, it is important to remember the benefits of this practice, especially on a date like today, as this is essential for our country and the environment.
