The world of the Metaverse is gaining momentum among companies. The latest company to join has been Heineken Mexico, which with its innovative spirit offers premium experiences that go beyond the everyday. Through Tecate® together with the Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival, they have just launched the first collection of NFT’s (Non Fungible Token that represent a unique digital token that can be bought and sold) and the ‘Tecateverse’.
The ‘Tecateverse’, a virtual venue, will showcase Tecate® Pa’l Norte, one of the largest festivals in the country. In the Metaverse, attendees of legal age will be able to play and earn ‘Eagle Points’ to redeem in Tecate code for access, official merchandise and free beer at the festival on April 1st and 2nd of this year. Upon entering the Tecateverse booth at Tecate® Pa’l Norte, attendees will be greeted by the Tecatenautas, the collaborators who will be in charge of keeping track of the number of people inside the booth, who will be attentive to the validation of rewards for people who participate to win products at the festival.
As soon as the game starts, participants will have to customize their own avatar to gain access to the bar where they will have to find all the treasure chests in a given time and, by means of a code, win the experience of having a beer in the metaverse. All of this can be done via smartphone, PC or even in person at the booth at the event.
Tecate® is one of the first beers in Mexico to set foot in the metaverse and bring the world of NFT’s closer. For the tenth edition of Tecate Pa’l Norte there will be collectible NFT’s representing access to real-world lifetime experiences, digital art, virtual activities, etc. NFT’s are available as of March 15.
