Turkish company Sarten Packaging recently announced that it continues to lead the way in clean and renewable energy in line with its sustainability goals.
In this regard, he announced that “We have launched our SPP project with the objective of generating clean energy on the rooftops of our 6 factories in Manisa. With 17,000 solar panels, we will generate 14 million kWh/year of electricity thanks to the 9.4 MWp of installed power. With the clean electricity we produce, we will avoid the emission of 5,000 tons of CO2 per year and save approximately 300,000 trees”.
In addition, the company recently won first place again in the ‘Metal Packaging’ category at the IDDMIB Export Metal Stars of Export ceremony. “It is an honor and a pleasure for us to announce that we have once again won first place in the ‘Metal Packaging’ category at the IDDMIB Export Metal Stars of Export ceremony,” added Sarten Packaging.
Sarten began manufacturing metal containers in 1972 at its Corlu plant. To meet the demand of the rapidly growing Turkish market, Sarten was quick to open additional factories. As a result of the company’s growth strategy, today Sarten has 16 plants in Turkey and 4 abroad.
The investment in these plants is made in parallel with Sarten’s customer-centric strategy, in which plants are erected specifically in locations where such demand is concentrated.
