Sun Chemical to showcase its latest innovations at InPrint 2023
Sun Chemical Company will showcase its wide selection of specialty, industrial and functional printing products targeting a variety of industries at the InPrint 2023 exhibition, which will take place in Munich, Germany during March 14-16.
On the other hand, SunJet, a joint inkjet chemistry development between Sun Chemical and DIC, is committed to working with OEM partners, system integrators and printhead manufacturers to offer its services that will range from the printing industry to use in textile, packaging and decorating industries.
In addition, Sun Chemical will showcase DIC’s patented SEPAREL® hollow fiber membrane technology for degassing (removal of dissolved gases) of inkjet ink, resulting in consistently smooth printing, reduced substrate and ink waste, shorter printer cleaning times and lower printer cleaning costs. Unlike traditional microfiltration membranes, SEPAREL hollow fiber membranes significantly reduce inkjet ink evaporation during degassing and can degas inkjet ink to the parts per billion (ppb) level.
SunHytek offers quality prints that stand the test of time for products in the most high-tech sectors, such as automotive and appliance panels, with a high visual level. The materials stand out for their extreme weather-proof durability even in the long term.
In addition, SunCarte® offers excellent resistance to coating removal, colorfast inks for both screen and offset printing, as well as adhesives and varnishes specially designed for laminated plastic cards.
SunPoly® is also a series of pigments for container printing designed to increase production levels without compromising quality. These inks are optimized for high speed screen printing on different materials.
As principal in charge of digital chemistry projects for Sun Chemical, Damian Ward will be presenting at the show on the critical factors for the successful development and integration of aqueous inks into industrial printing processes.
Phil Jackman, global product manager for Sun Chemical, expressed his excitement about his company’s participation in InPrint 2023. “We are delighted to showcase our latest developments within inkjet chemistry, as well as our collaborative projects with OEMs. Inkjet technology is a key enabler for many industrial applications, so it is increasingly being used in or alongside manufacturing processes. We are excited about how its use in this field will evolve and remain committed to researching and developing innovative solutions to meet this growing demand,” he added,
“We are confident that our collaborative approach and combined experience as a complete solutions provider, covering inks, primers and coatings, will enable visitors to our booth to gain unique insight into our cutting-edge innovations to help them improve their own manufacturing processes, increase competitive advantage and elevate their market positioning,” the executive reiterated.
