Sun Chemical received silver recognition internationally for all its efforts to achieve environmental sustainability, something that was awarded by EcoVadis, one of the world’s largest entities for measuring the sustainable performance of suppliers.

In addition, the silver rating places Sun Chemical in the top 25% of companies rated within its business sector and was earned through EcoVadis’ evaluation in four categories: environment, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement. “EcoVadis recognition is an exciting milestone in Sun Chemical’s sustainability journey. This award is a strong reflection of our dedication to improving eco-efficiency and providing industry advancements in sustainability as we work with DIC Corporation toward our goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.” said Mike Simoni, Sun Chemical’s global director of sustainability.

The Silver rating received from the CDP was clear proof of Sun Chemical’s continued commitment and effort to improve its operations and contribute to environmentally friendly initiatives, including products and services related to this sector.

Sun Chemical takes care of the environment and conserves virgin resources by implementing its 5R framework of Reuse, Reduce, Renew, Recycle and Redesign as part of its responsibility to create a sustainable future. This not only positions them as industry leaders in the manufacture of inks, pigments, coatings and adhesives, but also reduces their carbon footprint and minimizes waste.

EcoVadis, recognized worldwide for its trusted quality of measurement in business, has rated more than 100,000 businesses to verify that they incorporate sustainability and even corporate social responsibility. A large number of failures have been taken into account in order to evaluate businesses, totaling 200 topics in 175 countries, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the Global Compact and the ISO 26000 Standard.
