Stolle Machinery Company announced the successful completion of the 500th Concord Decorator at its Centennial, Colorado manufacturing facility. Concord product manager Andy Layden opened with some impressive statistics about Concord and its impressive impact on the canmaking industry and the local economy.
Following Andy’s remarks, Chris McAlpine, Stolle’s senior vice president of global systems, presented a commemorative plaque to John Leitzke, director of global sourcing for Capital Equipment, and Brian Rogers, vice president of project management and engineering for Crown Holdings, the customer that received the 500th Concord machine.


During the event, the Mayor of Centennial, the Honorable Stephanie Piko, addressed the audience and expressed her congratulations to Stolle, noting his continued support of training for the manufacturing sector and its importance to the local industry and economy. He noted that. “most people have no knowledge or appreciation of how many complex machines it takes to make a beverage can.”


Afterwards, the teams that manage, design, assemble and support Concord Decorators in Centennial were recognized. The assembly team includes Roger Teel, who began his career at Ragsdale Brothers (formerly in Englewood, CO) and has worked on every one of the 500 Concords built since 1986 when it was designed.


The event concluded with group photos of Centennial employees, the engineering and assembly teams that make the Concord Decorator a Stolle flagship product and a trusted key machine in can plants around the world.
