His innovative idea for the packs of cans managed to surprise the juries where multinationals such as Coca Cola or L’Oreal were also awarded for their contribution to the environment for their change in the use of plastic packaging.

The Innovation Awards in Paris is one of the most important worldwide awards for innovation in the packaging sector and recognizes those companies that design and improve packaging for wines, soft drinks, beverages, perfumes, among others. This year, the Spanish company Calypso Space has managed to win the award in the category of beer and cider, all thanks to its new rings ‘MT Rings’ based on pulp, 100% ecological and reusable with which it managed to get the jury in his pocket in its commitment to a more sustainable production in promoting the circular economy.

The ADF & PCD and PDL Innovations Awards recognise companies that create the most outstanding packaging in Europe. This 2021 the Easyfairs Oriex group was the organizer of this important trade fair where this year the awards were aimed at eco-friendly designs, sustainable projects, reusable products, recycled material, zero plastic, etc.

The trend is consolidating. More and more companies with innovative ideas are making packaging for beverages and other foods using non-polluting materials, which is also giving them international recognition.

This award demonstrates to other brands that Calypso Space’s proposal is a real solution for many other companies to join the zero plastic change. Currently there are already several international brands of beverages that are immersed in a process of adapting their bottling plants and have opted to implement soon the ‘MT Rings’ with which they will contribute to significantly reduce their carbon footprint.
