The consumption of canned water is a growing trend and Solán de Cabras knows it. For this reason, it has once again been a pioneer in Spain with sustainable and innovative packaging: the can format for its carbonated and non-carbonated varieties, infinitely recyclable formats.

Solán de Cabras in a 33 centilitre sleek can stands out for its lightness, for cooling quickly and for being made of aluminium.

For Jesús Núñez, General Manager of Mahou San Miguel’s Water Unit, said at the end of 2020 and on the occasion of this launch, that “in a year as uncertain as the one we are experiencing, we are proud to be able to say that at Solán de Cabras we continue to strengthen our commitment to sustainability. And we do so through innovation, a fundamental pillar on which we have continued to work and which allows us to launch today the new infinitely recyclable format and to advance our commitments for 2021”.

It is known that aluminium is 95% recyclable without any loss of quality. An aluminum can, as reported by The Gourmet Journal, takes only 60 days to manufacture, fill, distribute, consume and recycle into a new can. This recycling process can be carried out indefinitely and this is demonstrated by this fact: “72% of the aluminum that was once produced in the world is still in use”.

Solán de Cabras is one of the brands that make up Mahou San Miguel since 2011, the year of its acquisition. Mahou San Miguel is a family company, 100% Spanish with more than 2,800 professionals.
