Sherbourne Recycling has been recognized with the Best Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship Initiative award at the APSE Annual Service Awards, held in Glasgow, for its advanced Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) in Coventry.

The center, a pioneer in the use of AI and robotics, processes mixed dry household waste more efficiently and with less contamination than other plants, optimizing municipal spending and improving recycling rates. The collaboration between eight local authorities was key to the project’s success.

According to Layla Shannon, Business Development Director at Sherbourne Recycling, the award recognizes the collective effort of the team and the sustainable value that the facility brings, positioning it as a benchmark for waste management in the UK.
