WCC defends metal packaging producers at World Aluminum Conference
CMI (The Can Manufacturers Institute) sustainability officer Scott Breen called on the can industry to stand up for the can industry at the World Aluminum Conference on May 15 in London. The attacks from other industries on the aluminum sector are self-serving and Breen wanted to emphasize this, in addition to asking the entire sector for greater unity and global collaboration in the area of sustainability.
The 29th World Aluminum Conference, organized by the International Aluminum Institute and the Aluminum Management Initiative, brings together more than 360 senior executives and decision makers from the primary, secondary, extruded, rolled products, end-use, trade and financial sectors, who attended in 2023, representing more than 170 companies from 42 countries.
