Sarten Packaging, started manufacturing metal containers in 1972 at its plant in Corlu. Five decades later, it continues to lead the way in clean and renewable energy in line with a strong sustainability objective.

“We have launched our SPP project with the aim of generating clean energy on the rooftops of our 6 factories in Manisa. With 17,000 solar panels, we will generate 14 million kWh/year of electricity thanks to the 9.4 MWp of installed power. With the clean electricity we produce, we will avoid the emission of 5,000 tons of CO2 per year and save approximately 300,000 trees”, said the company.

Sarten also announced the launch of the GES (Solar Energy System) project to produce clean energy on the roofs of its six factories in Manisa. “By installing 17,000 solar panels and a total installed capacity of 9.4 MWp, we will generate 14 million kWh of electricity per year. By producing clean electricity, we will avoid approximately 5,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year, thus saving about 300,000 trees” they added.

Sarten began manufacturing metal containers in 1972 at its Corlu plant. To meet the demand of the rapidly growing Turkish market, Sarten was quick to open additional factories. As a result of the company’s growth strategy, Sarten operates 16 plants in Turkey and 4 abroad.
