The Municipality of Salta (northwest Argentina) recently held a new edition of Eco-Canje. The aim of this initiative is to promote waste reduction, reuse and recycling, fostering the circular economy. In this edition, the Ceferino Namuncurá cooperative participated, and the other two cooperatives of the San Javier Landfill will join in future days. In previous editions, almost eight thousand kilos of waste were collected.
Usually, participants who deliver recyclable materials receive gifts such as recycled plastic products and plants. In addition, Salta has been implementing a differentiated collection system for three years, which separates recyclable and non-recyclable waste, supporting social inclusion and environmental care.
