On Saturday, September 24, 2022, members of the Roeslein Community Service Committee worked with Habitat in St. Louis. St. Louis to build 8 frame sections for a new home in north St. Louis County. The Roeslein team worked at the Habitat warehouse in south St. Louis. He also helped the Habitat team with the organization and cleanup of their warehouse.

Habitat construction leaders estimated that these frames make up 60% of the house’s structure, which the team completed in 7 hours of work. Each team member was able to cut, measure and nail the wood pieces needed to assemble the window frames, door frames and stair frames for the walls of the house.

Michael Oles, Roeslein’s Project Manager I, said: “The Roeslein team assembled the house frames on Saturday and did a fantastic job. I am grateful to the team members who gave up part of their Saturday to help. This event was the second Community Service Committee Build Day with Habitat for Humanity, and Habitat is thrilled so far with our team’s work and wants Roeslein to come back at least once a year.”

The local television station CBS KMOV sponsors this house. The Roeslein Community Service Committee will hold another construction event later in the year to continue work on the house at the job site.

This event was made possible through the Roeslein Way program.
