Multinational CANPACK Group announced that Roberto Villaquiran has resigned as CEO of CANPACK Group to devote time to other activities. “We thank Roberto for his many contributions to CANPACK Group over the past three years, including the expansion of operations in the United States, and wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors,” said Peter Giorgi, president and CEO of Giorgi Global Holdings, Inc. the ultimate parent of CANPACK Group.

The company announced that CANPACK veteran Marius Croitoru will assume the role of interim CEO replacing Roberto Villaquiran. Roberto joined CANPACK in 2019 with over 35 years of experience in the packaging world, first with Smurfit Kappa and then with Logoplaste, each of these companies with a different route to market. Smurfit Kappa through the acquisition route, Logoplaste a pioneer in the ‘Wall to Wall’ concept and CANPACK through the greenfield route.

Today, CANPACK employs some 8,000 people, operates facilities in India, the Middle East, Europe and South America, and is the market leader in 10 European countries, as well as in India, Colombia and Morocco.
