Ricoh Company, Ltd. has achieved a Gold rating in the sustainability survey conducted by EcoVadis. This recognition places Ricoh among the top 5% of companies evaluated in its industry in terms of sustainability performance.

This recognition is endorsed by Ricoh’s commitment, especially in the areas of environment, as well as sustainable procurement, especially in the area of environmental management, as well as sustainable procurement activities in collaboration with suppliers.

In existence for 15 years, EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted provider of corporate sustainability ratings focused on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) practices, working to help companies improve their environmental and social practices throughout their global supply chains.

In 2019, Ricoh became the first Japanese company to participate in the Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG) initiative to address inequality in workplaces and supply chains. Joined the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) in the same year, which promotes social responsibility in global supply chains.

In order to provide an effective global framework for its ESG activities, the Ricoh Group identified seven priority themes aligned with 12 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The group aims to solve these problems through its business activities in order to achieve a sustainable society that balances economic, social and global environmental issues. Ricoh will contribute to achieving the SDGs by solving social issues across the value chain through business and achieving a sustainable society.
