Rhodius teams up with legendary DJ Robin Schulz to launch range of canned mate drinks
RHODIUS, the German beverage manufacturer, decided to partner with renowned DJ Robin Schulz to create a variety of canned gourds available to the public under the name ‘Robin Schulz x My Mate’.
Mate is a naturally stimulating herbal tea traditionally drunk in South America and is fast becoming an international beverage trend. Recognizing the appeal of this caffeine-rich ingredient to young, adventurous consumers, RHODIUS has created three diverse mate-based beverages packaged in Ardagh Metal Packaging (AMP) cans with a dazzling appearance that will appeal to style-conscious partygoers and nightlife fanatics.
The Robin Schulz x My Mate branded sheets feature the stylized portrait of Germany’s most recognizable DJ and the patterns drawn tend to suggest a party full of dancing girls and dancers, something that is mirrored by Schulz’s own signature tattoos. The products offer an attractive look with an elegant color palette in black, gold and silver, as well as the implementation of certain options created by AMP.
For those looking for a premium tasting product, My Mate Vodka has that covered with its eleventh ABV. Comes packaged in a 330ml Sleek black can with gold accents and tab. If you do not want alcohol, there is also a non-alcoholic version with the same gold and black can design. On the other hand, if you are looking for something to sip between drinks without alcohol, we have My Mate Secco 5.5%, packaged in AMP 250ml cans. These have a Matte Impact finish, an over-varnish that gives users the best feel when holding them in the hand and are notable for their silver tones and additional pink sparkles.
With decades of experience in filling mineral water at source, RHODIUS will fill Robin Schulz x My Mate cans after adding a third can filling line to its facility in Burgbrohl, Germany. Lisa Etchemendy, senior product manager at RHODIUS, underlined the company’s enthusiasm for cans and added that “for us, the can is the ideal package for this exciting cooperation with Robin Schulz. It has the ideal drinking size and reflects the values ‘young, trendy, convenient’, making it perfect for our target market.”
In this regard he added that “the graphics team at Ardagh worked with us to achieve the dynamic ‘night’ look we wanted, particularly getting the golden hue right, which can be a challenge, and we are delighted with the end result.”
