The British aluminum bottled water brand Re:Water has introduced a new 330 ml format, available in both still and sparkling versions. This addition complements their original 500 ml bottle and responds to the growing demand for sustainable and plastic-free solutions in the beverage sector.
The new size, reusable, recyclable and designed to be refilled, is particularly aimed at hotels, restaurants, and catering services seeking more eco-friendly and economical alternatives to glass, whose cost has increased with the implementation of the government’s EPR scheme.
A survey conducted by the brand among more than 2,000 consumers and 1,300 professionals in the hospitality and tourism sector revealed a clear preference for aluminum packaging over single-use options such as plastic or glass. 78% of consumers and 88% of industry professionals support a greater variety of sustainable packaging, with the small aluminum bottle being one of the most requested, especially for minibars and hotel rooms.
The company’s founders, Ben Richardson and Matt Crocker, emphasized that this new presentation makes it easier for brands to eliminate plastic without sacrificing quality or sustainability. Additionally, they anticipated the upcoming launch of a larger format, 750 ml, scheduled for this year.
Since its launch in 2021, Re:Water has distributed over 10 million bottles in the United Kingdom
