The company Yo Reciclo is launching a recycling campaign aimed at promoting the recycling of aluminum cans and canned food, contributing to the collection of funds for the 37th edition of the Magallanes Rehabilitation Days.
This year, the campaign focuses on educating and raising awareness in the community about recoverable waste, promoting the idea that these materials can be recycled in a sustainable way. into new products and thus contribute to environmental care. An appeal has been made to all the inhabitants of Magallanes to join this initiative by depositing their clean and crushed cans at the Green Points set up for this occasion.
“Everything collected will be weighed on November 16 at a place to be defined, and then sold to an authorized waste manager. All the funds collected will go directly to the Jornadas por la Rehabilitación,” explained Enrique Rebolledo Toro, Seremi del Medio Ambiente, who also stressed the importance of delivering clean waste to facilitate the work of the volunteers.
The Green Points will be operational from Tuesday, November 5 through Saturday, November 16 and will be located at:
- Southern Zone Units.
- Frontispiece of the Municipality of Punta Arenas.
- Cruz del Sur Rehabilitation Center.
