One of Slovenia’s largest breweries, Pivovarna Union has announced its collaboration with Canpack to package its latest 0.0% innovation: a beer-based sports drink called Union Radler 0.0% Isotonic. The new product created in partnership with the Slovenian Football Association is made from non-alcoholic beer and lemon-flavoured juice, plus added vitamins and minerals for regeneration after sport.

The company used a special matt lacquer effect to enhance its glossy look and feel. The slim, sporty beverage can is adding energy to the growing soft drink market as it seeks to attract the attention of active consumers with an active lifestyle. “We began an exciting and creative process to help Pivovarna Union bring Union Radler 0.0% Isotonic to market. The final can, with its printed message shows the technical capabilities of our MATT lacquer and how well it works to enhance bright and dark colours,” said Stephen McAneny, commercial director, CANPACK.
