Peroni Nastro Azzurro has launched a new 330 ml ‘stubby’ can format in response to the changing preferences of young consumers in the premium lager beer market.
These cans will be available in packs of 10, designed for easy storage in the refrigerator. This initiative follows the success of its 440 ml format launched in 2023, which became the fastest growing premium canned product.
In addition, Peroni has revamped its packaging design, incorporating the brand’s distinctive ‘blue ribbon’ and differentiating colors for its products, such as red for the gluten-free version and silver for the non-alcoholic option. According to Rob Hobart, marketing director of Asahi UK, cans are gaining ground in the premium sector, with growing demand among younger and more affluent consumers.
