January 16, 2023.- A success, that’s how the team of the Tapa Open Easy Orbit describes the solidarity campaign of food collection that has been carried out during the months of November and December, in favor of Mensajeros de la Paz for those who need it most.
In total, more than 3,000 kilos of food have been collected in a creative action, mainly digital, called #AbreteTarro, and that started the journalist Toñi Moreno from her Instagram account. A video in which she herself opened a jar with an easy-open Orbit lid and then invited everyone to do the same for a good cause. For each video shared, Orbit pledged to donate one kilo of aid to Mensajeros de la Paz, which needs it so much, especially in these times of social and economic uncertainty.
And so it has been, the symbolic delivery of the check was made on January 11 at the Church of San Antón in Madrid, which is headed by Father Angel, founder of the Association Mensajeros de la Paz.
Celebrities, influencers and microinfluencers join the campaign Once the campaign kicked off, #AbreteTarro was disseminated during the months of November and December among accounts with very prominent audiences. Celebrities such as Remedios Cervantes, Nieves Álvarez or the plastic artist José Luís Puche, joined the initiative, as well as micro-influencer accounts with very active followers involved in solidarity causes.
In total, the cumulative reach of the campaign has been 1.5 million accounts. All with the aim of helping those who help, since in the nature of the Orbit cap lies the need to make life easier for people, especially the most vulnerable.
This is not the first time that tapa Orbit has been actively involved in helping the most vulnerable; last September it did another solidarity turn at the Escaparate magazine gala.
With a jar on each plate, at one point during the gala guests turned the easy-open lid on three and discovered a message inside. One of them came with a surprise, specifically that of the Duchess of Montoro, Dª Eugenia Martínez de Irujo, which carried inside a check for 500kgs of food that Orbit donated with a solidarity purpose for the welfare works of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Rocío de la Macarena in Seville.
A shipment of food that Orbit already sent a few months ago, so that the Brotherhood can distribute it to those who need it most.
