ORBIS® Corporation, a global leader in reusable packaging solutions, will showcase products that play a critical role in optimizing supply chains at this year’s PACK EXPO International, to be held November 3-6 at McCormick Place in Chicago. ORBIS, which will exhibit in booth LU-6700, will highlight solutions for four critical points in the supply chain: inbound shipments, manufacturing, distribution and retail.

“At ORBIS, we realize that the path to a more sustainable supply chain starts with reusable packaging.” says Lynn Hediger, vice president of product management. “Our integrated portfolio of products and solutions improves supply chain efficiency and sustainability-driven ROI. We are excited to show our commitment to demonstrating what a more efficient, sustainable and resilient supply chain looks like for our customers and how it can greatly benefit their business while serving the greater good.”

ORBIS products are designed for a long shelf life, compared to single-use boxes and pallets. ORBIS’ collective goal is to keep packaging in use, at its maximum utility, for as long as possible for its customers. The ORBIS booth will showcase a variety of packaging solutions used in primary packaging, retail, automotive and industrial applications, including:

New 60×48 industrial pallet
This pallet features exceptional durability and reliability, making it an optimal choice for use in the industrial and automotive sectors. It is ideal for transporting powertrain and electric vehicle components, such as longer battery modules and components, and offers compatibility with automation and edge racking systems that improve operational efficiency and versatility in handling and storage.

OpteBulk
ORBIS’ line of sleeve containers, OpteBulk™ is an economical collapsible bulk container solution for lighter weight loads in the supply chain. OpteBulk systems consist of a reusable sleeve, pallet and top lid. ORBIS offers a variety of reusable sleeve container solutions that are designed to replace limited-use wooden pallet / gaylord systems.

Odyssey 3-Runner Pallet
The Odyssey® 3-Runner pallet offers dimensional consistency for a seamless interface with automation. It withstands heavy loads and provides stability with unique design features, including high-strength steel reinforcements and molded-in permanent friction elements. The Odyssey 3-Runner pallet offers an unmatched strength-to-weight ratio, capable of supporting rack loads up to 1,000 kg and is specifically designed to interface with automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS). It is a versatile solution, with applications in dry goods and general food processing, including cold and frozen storage of meat, bakery, produce and dairy products. By implementing the Odyssey 3-Runner pallet, companies can move loads of products successfully and easily through an automated system.

ORBISHIELD ECO
ORBISHIELD
ECO dunnage is designed to protect parts and components in the automotive supply chain. It is available in a wide variety of materials that reduce solid waste generation and carbon footprint, without compromising product protection or performance. This dunnage is tailored to meet the growing needs of companies increasingly aware of the impact that packaging has on the environment. In line with ORBIS’ commitment to the circular economy, this new product line promotes and demonstrates the reuse of materials and reduces reliance on single-use packaging. The ORBIShield ECO line is made from recovered and reprocessed plastic resins and can be recycled at the end of its useful life, making it an ideal solution for companies looking to improve their sustainability efforts.

Talk to a subject matter expert
“As a steward of sustainability, ORBIS is committed to driving the circular economy and a better world for future generations with reusable packaging,”
Hediger continues. A group of ORBIS team members with decades of experience and first-hand knowledge will be available at booth LU-6700 and will be happy to answer your questions and provide crucial information on how these products and others play a key role in optimizing supply chains.
