OCONOMOWOC, Wisconsin – February 15, 2024 – Supply chain leaders and executives attending MODEX 2024 next March will have the opportunity to see the latest in sustainably produced packaging products and automated packaging technologies, all courtesy of ORBIS Corporation, an international leader in reusable plastic packaging.
“At ORBIS, we are immensely proud of our ongoing contributions to a more efficient and sustainable supply chain.” says Lynn Hediger, vice president of product management. “Our reusable containers and pallets improve product flow in today’s automated systems and the overall supply chain. We design products that integrate seamlessly into automated systems to drive repeatable throughput and system uptime. We believe the relationships we have forged in this space are a testament to the strength of our vision for supply chain sustainability, and we are proud to showcase our products with those of other industry leaders.”
In addition to the latest sustainable packaging products from ORBIS, visitors to the ORBIS booth will have the opportunity to see products in-action from partner manufacturers, including:
Agilox. AGILOX is a leading manufacturer of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) that provide highly innovative material handling solutions. The company’s mission is to revolutionize the AMR world with its robots focused on ease of use and scalability, allowing users to seamlessly integrate new AMRs and adjust workflows. Robots move their loads autonomously by navigating through warehouses and optimizing routes in real time, offering unique advantages over centralized systems. All components are self-developed. AGILOX, founded in Austria in 2009, is present worldwide and serves customers in Europe, North America and Asia, with headquarters in Atlanta (GA). AGILOX will demonstrate its autonomous mobile robots at this year’s MODEX 2024 in Atlanta (AGILOX booth C7492 and Orbis booth B2809). Visitors will have the opportunity to see AMRs interacting with ORBIS’ new 40 x 48 Odyssey Pallet and learn more about the unique advantages of AGILOX technology: precise navigation, movement in tight spaces, stacking and certified safety features. Visit Agilox for more information.
Black-I Robotics. Black-I Robotics’ revolutionary Fullscope heavy-lift mobile robotic arm, mounted on an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR), helps solve the logistics industry’s most serious problem, the shortage of workers. The system compensates up to five workers per 24-hour shift, while its hot-swap battery function allows the unit to operate 24×7. The robot incorporates a number of patented and proprietary technologies, such as an artificial intelligence-based vision system with multiple 2D and 3D cameras that live stream an optimal path to storage spaces, safely picking and placing containers and boxes. The robotic arm, capable of lifting up to 100 pounds, twice the capacity of other heavy lift arms, will be shown with an AMR handling ORBIS AROS® containers. AROS containers are reusable, recyclable and specifically designed for automated storage systems. The uniformity offered by ORBIS reusable containers makes the process faster and more accurate. Visit Black-I Robotics for more information.
Combi packaging systems. As a leading manufacturer of automated packaging solutions, Combi offers custom-designed robotic packaging and palletizing systems, case packers and more. Combi’s equipment will be displayed with ORBIS PlastiCorr® reusable corrugated cardboard boxes. PlastiCorr is the first reusable brown box substitute and is made entirely of plastic for water and moisture resistance, box durability and merchandise protection. ORBIS PlastiCorr cases will pass through the Combi 2-EZ HS 20 automatic case erector and its associated equipment, the TBS-100 case sealer and the EZ-PZ 8 palletizer. These boxes will be assembled, taped and palletized, with a co-bot, in this automated system. Combi is a worldwide supplier of industrial packaging systems. Combi designs and manufactures case erectors, tray erectors, case sealers, case packers, robotic packing systems and ergonomic hand packing stations.
